Characteristics:
Alois Trancy
Alois Trancy (Jim Macken) is a 14 year old boy. He is the Earl of the Trancy Manor. He is seen as bipolar, sadistic, unpredictable ,and overly emotional. At times he can be abusive or He is Ciel's Foil and represents all the feminine qualities that Ciel does not have.
Ciel and Alois both lost someone important (via burning/murder) but Ciel is emotionless and Alois is emotional. Ciel is more masculine and Alois is more feminine. They also have contrasting butlers as well and keep their contract seal's hidden. (HE'S MY FAVORITE CHARACTER BY THE WAY, IF YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED BY NOW) The first thing noticed about Alois will probably be the way he dresses: He dresses very femininely: a purple overcoat, a green vest, black tights, short shorts (except that one episode where he gets stabbed in) and knee high boots. In Victorian cultures, wearing the color purple means that you're from royalty and wearing green represents "materialism, cheating, deceit, and/or difficulties with sharing. You need to balance your masculine and feminine attribute ." And black usually shows that you're mourning over a death. Alois had a very difficult past, he lost his brother (Luka), parents and was sexually abused by his "uncle." His past probably influenced his life in the later. Because of the abuse he became dependent and clingy to Claude. He is psychologically scarred because he lost all his family members, so he never wants to be alone and requests Claude to never leave his side. His death was a impacting death to me and that episode played a major role in the next episodes. (Go to Formalist for a more in depth explanation). That episode revealed a lot of his past. Alois Quotes:- "Hoheo Tarlana Rondero Tarel."
- "You are... You yourself are... My Highness!"

Hannah AnafelozHannah Annafeloz is a demon maid who serves in the trancy manor . She is the one who reveals the truth about luka to Alois and is attracted to Alois because of consuming Luka's soul. (Well that's what I like to believe). She is seen as a motherly like figure towards the end of the anime, she cradles Alois in Ciel's Body on the boat and sing him a lullaby.
She is usually seen to be wearing a Maid's outfit, particularly the Trancy House Maids outfit, after episode one she wears a bandage over her left eye due to Alois' abusive nature. Hannah is known as the Demon's Sheath for she holds the ancient sword. She is obedient an allows Alois to abuse and beat her. ex: Alois gorges out her eye and pushes her away and demands her to go away Claude to change his bandages calls her a turd, useless and other names. And he never wants her around. Except in Episode 8 when the tide changes and he sees Claude smile which is strange because Claude is supposed to be emotionless, so he requests Hannah for help. But Hannah is very strong she takes all this abuse because she loves him and she even joined the Trancy household staff because Alois was there. Hannah Quotes:- "Yes, my master./ Hai Danna-Sama"

The author/artist of Black Butler is a women named Yana Toboso. These three characters resemble the most feminist characteristics. Black Butler portrays the masters as dependent and attached to their butlers. Since this anime gives a lot of hint toward shota (attraction to young males) but it is not about shots it makes sense for some of the male characters to represent feminine qualities. Black butler portrays feminine characters as dependent and reliant on male characters. Alois -> Claude , Ciel -> Sebastian, and Hannah -> Alois/Luka . Toboso is probably explaining about how during the Victorian Age even if the Queen is seen as "the God", males are still superior. But women are strong enough to fight back and they gain their rights. But this is just my guess.
Based on an article, females in the Victorian Age are seen to be dressed elegantly with large gowns, purple for the nobility.
"Women held an important position as wives since they took care of the household, any servants, helped with their husband’s work, and managed the finances, however from the male’s point of view, women were nothing more than overly emotional and mindless creatures ruled by their sexuality" [x] This can be seen through Hannah's characteristics, she is nothing more than a maid and from Alois' point of view he sees her as only a servant and a pest. It can also relate to Alois, Claude sees Alois as an overly emotional and unstable boy , who is driven by his obsession for love. When Alois confessed his feeling to Claude , Claude replied coldly:"What a thing to say to a mere butler"(episode 8). He sees him as nothing more than someone ruled by his sexuality.
There were "Laws designed to benefit men over women were hard to overlook. Besides the legality of marital rape and wife-battery, the husband also had complete say in sexual intercourse. " [x]. Even if this is between a wife and husband,This could be applied to Alois because he was sexually abused by his "father." Alois had that mysterious look in his eye the night he was to be "prepared for bed with the former Lord Trancy." I believe the mischievous look in his eye was because he came up with his wish for Claude, (which was never revealed in the anime). He could not refuse to be raped or else he'll have no where else to go. Prostitution was also something huge in Victorian Culture , and it was legal too. The Trancy Head called his prostitutes, "dolls" and eventually Alois obtained his power and social status through being his favorite "doll."
To sum it all up, feminism play a role in Black Butler II, this anime relates to the old Victorian Days in the 1840s'-1900's. Black Butler II takes place during the 1880's, a time where women were seen as "The Sex."
